Talulah is a second year undergraduate student at the George Washington University in Washington D.C. She is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree double majoring in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences as well as Psychology. She began tutoring six years ago at the height of online learning due to COVID-19. Talulah is an expert in SHSAT prep, with her students scoring in the high 500s and accepting their admissions to Stuyvesant, Bronx Science and HSMSE. Talulah graduated from LaGuardia High School with 10 AP courses under her belt and earned an additional French high school degree from CNED. When she's not tutoring students, Talulah is learning to fly a plane and hosts medical panels!

Marina is a sophomore at McGill University. A former member of National Honor Society, she takes high interest in legal studies and competes in numerous related activities. Marina has taken 12 AP exams throughout high school. She was the captain of the #1 ranked Speech and Debate team in the country and competes in numerous tournaments on the national circuit, championing on both the state and national levels. She was also a member of the Mock Trial team and was Editor-in-Chief for the Bronx Science Law Journal. Outside of school, Marina is an intern at the Manhattan District Attorney's office and worked on the research team of Genocide Watch, an international NGO. She separately conducts independent research on economic sanctions & human rights violations. She was the captain of the Bronx Science volleyball team and enjoys listening to music and rock climbing in her free time. 

Samantha is a junior at Lexington High School. In addition to being experienced in AP Biology, Samantha’s academic prowess is mirrored through her high honor roll placements and consistent enrollment in all honors and AP courses including AP United States History, Chemistry, and Statistics. Taking initiative to explore her fascination with medicine and human development, Samantha leads as president of her school’s Futures in Medicine Club and works as a summer volunteer at Beth Israel Lahey Hospital. Beyond her scholastic feats, Samantha is co-captain of her competitive figure skating team which has represented Team USA for the past three years. Throughout her career, Samantha has secured two National Titles, an International Title, and most recently finished sixth at the 2023 ISU Junior World Synchronized Skating Championships. Beyond her academics and athletics, Samantha also seeks to cultivate meaningful connections with her community by working at a local ice cream shop that is the heart of her town. In her free time Samantha is always on the hunt for new music and new recipes to bake.

Hi! My name is Luciné Alashaian and I’m a physical therapy student at Mercy University. I live in Westwood NJ and I like playing tennis, skiing, hiking, and hanging out with my family and friends. Hi, my name is Joshua Lustig I am a Sophomore Game Design and Computer Science major at Northeastern University. I have been working as a tutor for over four years, teaching subjects such as ELA and mathematics. I have had experience tutoring for the New York State exams and the SATs. I have also spent the past year as a Peer Mentor for Northeastern and as a Summer Bridge mentor over the summer. I have gotten the opportunity to guide, teach, and mentor many incoming and current college students through these programs. Sasha is an undergraduate student at The George Washington University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor's of Science degree with double majors in public health and data science with minors in biology and bioinformatics. Before coming to Study Buddies, he tutored for his local library in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Sasha is an expert in biology at all grade levels, including collegiate introductory series. When not focused on academics, he enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, board games, and listening to health-science podcasts.

Malavika is a biomedical engineer and scientist working in immunology and multiplexing in the DC area. She is a magna cum laude graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a specialization in biomaterials. She also graduated as Valedictorian in high school. 
While participating in her undergraduate studies, Malavika worked as a TA in organic chemistry for three years. She also worked in the Systematic Bioengineering Laboratory in which she wrote and successfully defended her thesis on the Upregulation and Downregulation of the NRF-2 Gene Using Chemical Intervention. 
Malavika is experienced in teaching a plethora of students and is talented in finding ways to communicate with any student. When not working with students or as a scientist, Malavika can usually be found cooking a fun meal, reading a good book, or watching her favorite shows!

Laith is a fourth year undergraduate student at the George Washington University in Washington D.C. He is completing his Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Neuroscience on a pre-medicine track. He started his tutoring journey with helping classmates understand topics in multiple different STEM courses, leading to him eventually tutoring many students in Organic Chemistry I and II. Laith specializes in both General/introductory Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. In his free time, Laith plays volleyball on the George Washington club team and he can be found hiking or doing other outdoor activities on a nice day.
